Summary:

Once they landed in Kaikūmera City on Nereus, Captain Penrose tasked a few volunteers with joining her and Fikk'ren in their meeting with the Knight Commander of the Order of the Guiding Star. Before their meeting, they grabbed some renowned lobster rolls and learned more about the refugee crisis.

The group took a scenic ride in Kara's ferry, bringing them to the beautiful atoll that the Order's flagship was stationed at. They found many of the Order soldiers training out on the beach, led by High Warden Kyrea. The High Warden noticed their arrival and brought them to meet with Knight Commander Dakara in his office. Dakara had Penrose leave the room and asked the crew some personal questions as a judge of character. Happy with their answers, he brought them all together for an outdoor feast, over which they would discuss the matters at hand.

While the Arcadian Inquisitors are busy investigating the refugee situation, the plight of the Paraikete (space rays) has gone largely unnoticed. They seem to be acting strangely sluggish and displaying erratic flight patterns, like they're sick, sedated, scared, or all of the above. It could be nothing, but this strange behavior appearing just one week before the Paraikete Breeding Festival (also known as The Great Confluence), is cause for concern. Could the mold be involved?

The festival is a widely-celebrated affair that occurs every 5 years, where the Paraikete return to the seas of Nereus to mate beneath the waves. Otherwise, they spend most of their time in the vacuum of space or on Nereus' many moons. If the situation isn't resolved before the festival, it has the potential to spell disaster for the people of Nereus. Understandably, this bombshell ruined the mood of the evening.
