San'kell

San'kell (she/her) was the Overseer of the cold-side facility on Phaethon until Apátē and her lackeys arrived to take over. She holds a grudge against the Arcadian who took her job, and continues to conduct research into the Ancients with the help of her assistants.

She became romantically involved with the facility's Head of Security, Vol'mas. Yet she had her heart broken when she discovered that Vol'mas had been skin-stolen, who then subsequently tried to have her kidnapped to join him. She revealed the fact that the appearances of these creatures coincides with an earthquake that occurred on the same day as the Arkwright's arrival into this part of the galaxy, and that all of the things they've encountered thus far are likely connected in some capacity.

She now grapples with the fact that her skin-stolen lover is still out there, and continues to work with Apátē to rework Ancient technology into a deterrent against the Skin Stealers.
