Summary:
The maiden voyage of the I.S.V. Arkwright has ended in catastrophe. Shortly after entering the Drift from Abasalom Station to investigate strange signals coming from unexplored space, a disaster occurred that ripped the entire ship out of the Drift. Terribly damaged, the crew had no choice but to crash land onto the nearest planet, that being the jungle planet of Agria.
The ship suffered significant damage and much of the crew was injured or killed, leaving a handful of expendable Ensigns to be the only free sets of hands Captain Penrose can find to explore their surroundings and ensure the area to be safe. Outside of the ship, they noticed a complete lack of animal life, leaving them with an ominous feeling...
